Postdoctoral research fellow Experimental Petrology/Geochemistry
Fulltime position, Start-date: 01.06.2020

or soon afterwards. The successful candidate should complement our strengths in petrology and fluid-rock interaction and is expected to develop research program in experimental, thermodynamic or kinetic aspects of magmatic or hydrothermal processes. Collaboration with other group members in the fields of mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry will be strongly encouraged. The position involves teaching at bachelor and/or master level (4 hours weekly in English or German language), participation in field excursions and supervision of students.

The position (salary level A13) is limited to 3 + 3 years pending successful interim evaluation and progress towards habilitation.  In addition to fulfilling the requirements for civil servants, the applicants must have an outstanding Ph.D. degree in geosciences or related field at the time of appointment, a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of students, staff and faculty.
